Enhancing Environmental Stewardship

The focus of sustainability performance in environmental management is the support given to preventing climate change impacts and preserving the environment. To enhance carbon absorption and greenhouse gas (GHG), KIDECO carries out revegetation through land reclamation and rehabilitation, energy efficiency, emission control, waste management, and water use management.

Environmental performance is vital as it directly influences the efforts made in preventing climate change impacts and preserving the environment. KIDECO is committed to preventing climate change impacts stemming from mining activities in Roto Samurangau and Susubang Uko, as well as supporting environmental preservation endeavors. Environmental performance that became material topics includes biodiversity, energy, water and effluent, waste, and emission. Strategies are conducted by implementing ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System, ISO 50001:2018 Energy Management System, and Mining Safety Management System (SMKP), as well as renewable energy use initiatives.

Environmental Specific Goals
