Kideco's coal is categorized with a calorific value ranging from 4,200 to 5,240 Kcal/kg, with low nitrogen content less than 250 ppm nictric oxide (NOx) effect to less air pollution. Low ash content in 3.5%, allow power plant to maintain smaller area for ash disposal, promising a longer life of the ash pond. Kideco’s coal also low sulfur content, with average 0.1%, 1/7 of normal bituminous coal. Power plants can comply with the sulfur oxide (Sox) emissions limits by either single burning of Kideco’s coal (80 ppm) or blended burning of Kideco's coal with normal bituminous coal (170 ppm). Provides massive benefit for the customer to save the capital and operational cost in construction and operation of FGD (Flue – Gas – Desulfurization)
